I am a 26 year old female in the US. I have a wife and together we live on 7 acres of land with our currently 6 dogs, 4 cats, 1 ferret, and 6 goats. I aspire to grow my farm and eventually take my goats to shows as well as test them in DHIR, as well as get their LA scores. I want to be able to show and prove my goats to be high milk producers with good confirmation. I do breed my goats every year assuming something doesn't come up.
As of right now I am working at a dog rescue 28 hours a week which means I will not be breeding my goats (Intentionally) until December where they will kid in May and I will leave my job in April so I have the time to be with them during their labors. From then on I will, if all goes well with my wife's college and future career, continue to be a full time farmer. I will be milking my goats twice a day as well as raising goat kids and eventually we want to add ducks and chickens once again. We've had them in the past but ended up selling due to issues that came up with them.
Our long time goal is to move onto 40 acres or more, put our dream home on it, and raise a large farm as well as raising our own kids there.
Our farm name: Sorren Star Ranch
Goat registry we use: Adga
Our herd name through ADGA: SorrenStar
*As of right now, there are no goats registered under our herd name
Thanks for the fave!
